How to change the background of photo in Adobe Photoshop CS6

I usually hear this sentence from a best photographer I know "Photography and Photoshop is an ever learning subject"
When a camera captures a moment in your life, Photoshop give a life to that photo. It can make your photo look awesome or dirty in some cases.
When you really get to know about Photoshop ,I am sure you mind goes crazy to know lot more about its magical stuff.
You could really change the whole feel of your captured photo to you desired one. All you need to do is learn about it.
Here is something basic about Photoshop which i learnt and felt to share with you guys.

CHANGING THE BACKGROUND OF A PHOTO :
Well, hope you already know about adjusting levels, playing with RGB, exposure, saturation levels, vibrance etc.
If not, Don't worry, lets learn them in future.
Now, lets know how to change the background of your photo.
You generally click pictures in lots of crowd where you couldn't even think that the photo is your's.
Now here is a solution for that.

Open Adobe Photoshop CS6.Browse your photo and import the picture. choose some background you would like to place yourself in.
my free advice: choose something that is related, reasonable and believable to place you. If you really wanna make fun of your pic, then choose some niagara waterfalls or any space station. Also open the background image in photoshop. Now select all of the background by using ctrl+A. Copy the selected image by using ctrl+c. paste on your image to which you want to change the back ground by using ctrl+v.
You could find opacity to the right of your workspace window. Decrease the opacity of the background image till your image is atleast 50% visible to you.
Now choose the eraser tool which you can find in to your left of the workspace window. Just erase the part of the picture which you want to place on the background you selected. Increase the opacity of the background picture. You are done with changing the background.

Here are some precautions you need to take:
Choose a relevant background. Use levels and RGB to match the light and stuff of your image to the background. While using the eraser tool, be careful, As you know there is always a helpline ctrl+alt+z which can undo your mistakes.
There are many types of erasers you can use, give all of them a trial.

Some alternative stuff:
You can also select you image using ctrl+A, copy it, paste it on the back ground and erase all the other stuff except you in your photo.

original
You can also use quick selection tool to select only you in your image, then copy it using ctrl+c, paste it directly on the background image.
